Connecting Coaches, Creatives, & Curious Folks through what's emerging in this moment

About

Helen House has a very busy mind.  Sometimes she just has to write to quiet the chatter and make sense of the world.  She’s a Master Certified Coach of the Co-active variety, mother of two phenomenal young adults (open adoption rocks!), 1st generation Yooper, artist & thing-maker, adventure seeker, and leader of workshops for amazing businesses like CTI.  One of her favorite things to do is connect the dots between seemingly unrelated things and offer a different way of seeing something to others walking this path of being human.  That, and ride her bike.

  1. It was a pleasure to meet you this past weekend Helen. And look, I found you! ha ha. During professional encounters we only skim the surface in terms of really getting to know who that person is. I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts this morning and look forward to what lies ahead. Wishing you a wonderful day, Cheers. Nicole Inglis

  2. Cherie Helen – I was a client of yours many years ago and it has been both humbling and inspiring to witness your journey. I am lost for words to appreciate your courage to be vulnerable, authenticity, and resilience. I remember hearing you say that you wanted to embrace the whole enchilada of life, and you have with grace and generosity of spirit. Blessings and warmest wishes for your next chapter. Marla Goldstone, Toronto

PS – As is the nature of these things, I was sent this poem yesterday, and I think it will resonate for you and many of your readers.

    Allow

    -by Danna Faulds

    There is no controlling life.

    Try corralling a lightening bolt,

    containing a tornado.

Dam a stream, and it will create a new

    channel.

Resist, and the tide will sweep you off your feet.

    Allow, and grace will carry

    you to higher ground.

    The only

safety lies in letting it all in-

    the wild with the weak;

    fear,

    fantasies, failures and success.

when loss rips off the doors of

the heart, or sadness veils your

    vision with despair, practice

    becomes simply bearing the truth.

In the choice to let go of your

known way of being, the whole

world is revealed to your new eyes

    • Marla! How wonderful to hear from you! I remember you well 🙂
Thank you so much for these beautiful words, both your own and the gorgeous poem you posted. It is truly exquisite. Now I have a new poet to explore. That is perhaps the truest poem I’ve ever read. Be still my heart…. ❤ xx
